Titles

Títulos Personales

Miss -- Es el título para mujeres jóvenes no casadas (señorita)
Ms. -- Es el título para mujeres casadas o solteras (señorita/señora)
Mrs. -- Es el título para mujeres casadas (señora)
Mr. (mister) -- Es el título para hombres. (señor)
Dr. (doctor) -- Es el título de un hombre o mujer que ha ganado el título de doctorado


Jr. (junior) -- Es el título de un hombre cuyo padre tiene el mismo nombre
Sr. (senior) - Es el título de un hombre cuyo hijo tiene el mismo nombre

Ejemplo:
Sammy Glass Jr. (es el hijo de Sammy Glass Sr.)
Sammy Glass Sr. (es el padre de Sammy Glass Jr.)

Credenciales
Se pone las credenciales después del nombre.
Ejemplo: Jennifer Miles, Ph.D.

Ph.D.
M.D.
D.D.S.
LL.D.

No se puede usar las credenciales con los títulos. Hay que escoger uno o el otro.

Are they  speaking Spanish?

Examples:

• You are watching TV.
• Are you watching TV?
• You are not watching TV.

Now

In English, "now" can mean: this second, today, this month, this year, this century, and so on. Sometimes, we use the Present Continuous to say that we are in the process of doing a longer action which is in progress; however, we might not be doing it at this exact second.

• I am studying to become a doctor.
• I am not studying to become a dentist.
• I am reading the book Tom Sawyer.
• I am not reading any books right now.
• Are you working on any special projects at work?
• Aren't you teaching at the university now?
